As Promised. Sharing my home Christmas decor in this post.
But I thought I'd also give my top 5 tips to a gorgeous Christmas Tree too.
Read on!
Tip #1 - Light to Tree Ratio
Lighting is the key base to any tree and you want to make sure you have enough.
My go-to rule is 100 lights per Ft tall.
Tip #2 - Zig Zag the Lights For A Corner Tree
If you have a corner tree like mine, cheat a little!
You don't need to string the lights all the way around! Don't go through the hassle of trying to wiggle to the back and come back in front! All you have to do is Zig Zag string your lights on the visible side and you'll get the same beautiful look and a much easier time decorating!
Tip #3 - Create Depth
One big thing I've always notice, a lot of people when decorating their tree tend to only hang the ornaments on the outer most visible layer. But just like any kind of decor, creating levels is the key for a more rich and flavored look. Don't be afraid to put some ornaments near the trunk, or have some just peeping through behind some branches! When you create more layers it'll give you a more full looking tree!
Tip #4 - Wired Ribbons Is Your Best Friend
I love to change up my Christmas tree yearly. But buying new ornaments every time is simply too costly and also a lot of storage to consider. A more budget-friendly way to style up your tree differently is by using ribbons. They cost roughly $5 a roll and you can use it on the tree and add some ribbons around the house to accent as well!
Tip #5 - Try New Things and Have Fun!
As all decorating and styling goes, it's all subjective to your taste and mood.
So don't be afraid to play around and try new things! This year I tried the ribbon in tree look for the first time. Usually I would just put a big flowy bow on the top of the tree, but instead this year I put strings of ribbon coming in and out in various parts instead. Wasn't sure if I could pull it off but I'm glad I did cause I love how it looks next to my gold Christmas Flower ornaments 💖
Well that's it for this post!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a Joyous New Year!
Happy holidays!
